Artistic Kimono Metallic Thread
Artistic Kimono threads are truly exceptional, with a long history in Japan. Traditionally, these unique threads were used in making the kimono belt, or as embroidery thread in the kimono. The thread is constructed of metallized film and rayon 150d core yarn. The metalized film used in the construction of this thread is produced through a singular process which puts spots of gold or silver shades in the film. This allows some of the core yarn to show through the transparent parts of the metallic film, creating a beautiful effect. It is especially brilliant when used in embroidery, and can be used for any type of sewing process.
